I think it's time we get a proper tourni arranged!!! I am hoping that FNFphil can run the tourni off his site i posted this on his mdx site as well.
Anyways me, Meistro and Last Call came up with a list of people who are invited to race the tourni. Evrybody can come and race though just sign up. We'll set a time that suits both America and Europe. It can be done....we may have to I.P the races though imo.
Format wise a heat of 4 laps and then a 7 lap main with a round each week is the idea right now but obviously it could be altered if need be.

I don't necessarily think that it should be invitation only, but you should definitely have to qualify. One main event, ten guys, winner take all. Not really fair to only invite certain people I think.
Did I say ten guys? You can only have eight right?

What sort of turnouts have the MTX tournys been getting?
well there was 16 for mine 3 weeks after the game came out and fnf had ok turnout for there 2 betas not on gayspy.
Well, we had a mtx tourney ( 2 beta rounds ) before Christmas and I want to say it was a little fiasco on the 2nd rd.
Indeed, some players think they are before the others but the final ranking is often modified. When I play the game with other guys from my land, there is no changes in the final ranking of a race. My best example was with LastCall, I was often 10 seconds before him on the finish line and he won the races lol. LastCall, I know u r fast, it's simply the lag between u and me (or the others guys near here, in Belgium). LastCall is an example. When we ride mtx online, we have a lot of problems about hosting a championship. Take a look on our FnF MTX racing page www.fnfracing.be.tf . It was my choice how to host a tourney. The biggest problem I think is that we can't chatting in the game. The teamspeak proggie is a good one but there we can find a problem between people don't speak english fine (like me). When we launch a race via IP in the MDXzone, we have allways some tourists from gamespy in the game lol, so we can't start a race with 8 registered riders in 1 room. I think maxi 4 is good. Find the best rules is really a hard work.
Maybe u can reply with some better ideas, I'll looking this topic.

seeing it wont be 2 busy you can do 4 man heats and the 1st goes up 1 heat... 2nd and 3rd stay... 4th goes down 1 heat.
And go by the results shown by the host... the host will write it down. other way would be for the host to take a screenshot and send it to the tourny admin over msn. a lot of work but it would work.
4 lap heats and a 8 lap main.

Phil, I'm a little confused here. Are you saying that I didn't actually win your tournament, or are you saying that because of the lag it showed that you were in front of me when you actually weren't?
whatever the results in times are thats the final race results pay no attention to who's were on ur screen if someone is lagging or multiple people then yes it will be weird.

LOL Lastcall, I speak bad english and sorry for that, Yes, you won the rd1 of the FnF MTX beta tourney and Yes, the lag problem about the final ranking of a race is not funny. No one is sure to win a race when he is on the first position on his screen. It's all. Yes, the final ranking with the total times for everyone is the good ranking.

I don't think he's the coolest person on mtx talks a lot of
*#*#* but not my enemy...it's a pc game i don't really care about it to much tbh.

i had to get a new router cause my old 1 crapped out and now i can host and all sorts of cool *#*#* on my new 1 :D
