Hey guys Merry Christmas and thanks for the gift!!!
Yeah, you guys rule!Nice job! I cant wait for the Nats to come out now!Merry X-mas!!
What gift? (srry 3pm and a just woke up ::) ) hehe Merry Xmas everyone!
Wow thats cool! I tought the ones working on MXU gave up! Haha sweet :) My Xbox is at my girl since i have a Ps2 here, finally can play some mxy track again haha! ;D
Thanks, glad you like it. :)
For these SX tracks, I recommend that you turn off the fog by doing Shift-F11. There's not much we can do about the sky poking thru the stadiums, without going with a completely different sky altogether. There's limits to everything.
The nats have some tough animations that we are still working out, so that's why we delayed their release to give us more time. :)
We plan on converting all the nats and SX so this gift will keep on coming for quite some time. :)
Jeff
Hey thanks again for the tracks. They werent the greatest ones but that doesnt matter. I cant wait till the nats are here. Jeff what about bike sounds. Is that gonna happen?
We still need to experiment with sounds. We have them just haven't tried them in the game.
Bruce
Extracting stuff... how does importing go????
that was awsome thanks!
The sounds are easy to add. It's whether the complete sound package sounds good or not. Won't know until we actually try. The program I'm working on it will make it relatively easy to experiment.
Bruce
man i love you guys thnx alot :) do you guys think that you could make a little object pack with all the mxu stuff? and what program can you guys change all the programing stuff and so in? C++++?
Wow bruce i love you guys. Again thank you for the gift, its better to give then to get.. id like to give but i have nothing lol. keep us updated on the sounds. if u need help im always here for testing

Very Nice! Any word yet on when we'll have that new bikeswitcher? Don't mean to pry, I was just wondering.
I hate to give a date. I still have a lot of work to do, not to mention all the testing. I'm hoping sometime in January.

Awesome! :o
WOW guys. I never thought this would acutally come together. Or if it did, I was afraid they would not be released.
Maybe I could get some info to help with my project of getting mcm tracks into the xbox version of mxu? I've tried, but my knowledge of game hacking is...well....I don't have any knowledge lol. I have pushed other people known for modding xbox games, and they have come up stumped.
Thanks again TD, and everyone else involved ;D
I think it would be too much of a hassle to attempt to feed stuff into the xbox.
Bruce
You think so? Havent there already been alot of custom maps for Halo? I think so. A modded xbox would be needed though...
I got the modded xbox part covered :P
WOW again. These tracks ride extremely well in mcm. They also look great. Are they hi def, or something different all together. I know the disp is povray, but the textures look as good as they do on xbox mxu.
hey bruce when can u guys share that program :o
haha count me in on the modded xbox part :P
I bought my Xbox for exclusivly for MXU, so I definitly would mod it if I can get stuff in!
this is such a awsome gift guys thanks to all involved and merry xmas...to everyone u rule this mcm2 world twisted dirt. ;D
how in the hell did u guys do this it looks sooo clean and so ... so freaking amazing man the dirt on the tracks is spot on. the staidum, the sorundings the gate my god! i am so impressed man u guys made my x mas... im having such a freakin fun time on these tracks can't wait for more!!! and the AI actually ride kinda good on these with no stunts man this is really fun thanks so much guys u guys evolutionized this game once more simply amazing. :o :o :o
VERY COOL guys. Thanks a lot for this. The only question I have is that the textures have a lot of green blotches on em. Doi I need to turn dual pass on and take of force textures to fit in video memory?

You can try and see if that helps, but unfortunately the textures are what they are. You see, the PS2 and Xbox have different rendering options than we do in MCM2. That means, we can really only get close to what it looks like on the console. It kind of sucks but there's not much we can do about it. You will see this even more so on the nats when they come out. :'( Oh well, the alternative is to retexture them and that would be pretty tough to replicate. We did our best but sometimes we just can't get it to look the same.
Jeff
Flippin Sweet............... ;D
did dam good enough jeff don't swet the dang dirt man u guys worked hard enough on the hole process. :)
thank you ;D i think you guys/gals did a excellent job....Merry Christmas ;D
This is freaken sweet, thanks heaps guys :D

I got a modded xbox too. If anyone wants to try to make custom maps for mxu Id be happy to test it :D
Don't expect any custom tracks for the XBox. There just isn't a practical way to do it.
Bruce
Which part? transfering the files or importing them to the game?
Tranfsering files is really easy, its simple to transfer via ftp to the a modded xbox.
As for the importing, don't you think it would be possible to replace the stock tracks and run them as them in the game?
It has nothing to do with transferring them. It has to do with putting it together in a way that MXU will recognize it. We already have that tool for MCM 2 (Armadillo).
Bruce
Oh, ok. Would be very cool if someone would be able to figure it out though...
hey bruce (and more) if you guys need help to get these things done I would me more than glad to help out
I'd just like to add a little recognition for Mike (kxmotox45) if he hadn't sent me some files to work on none of this might ever have happened.
Laurie
Im just glad it all came together in the end ;D
So you were in this schananigan all alone weren't ya Mike? :P
no offence bunny but u post useless posts, its seems like ur a post junky. Its no race to the top with the most posts, were here to help. This just might be me tho. Sry if this offended you but its true

nah not exactly. Actually Bob (crucify) mentioned that this might be possible right when mxu came out. I just happen to get my hands on the mxu stuff, and passed it on to TD.

Oh alright, well thanks for passing it on to these guy anyways.
Back when MXU first came out, there were some videos or something of Ronron taking disp maps and plugging them into his xbox somehow and testing different tracks and stuff.
So somewhere out there, there is software that allows you to do that, it's just no doubt proprietary to Rainbow or whoever.
You'd think somehow someone could get their hands on that stuff. But who knows.
