i accidentally deleted a game file. i have custom skins and custom tracks, when i go to garage and try to select a bike the game freezes and then crashes. and when i try to download the savegame file it downloads as a word pad file? i tried to insert it into the remote file as a word pad file and it did not work. the game was fine until i put a skin in the game and it randomly started doing this, i have downloaded skins before but this time i didn't unequip the custom skins before closing the game and getting the new skins. what should i do?
There's actually a reason for https://gyazo.com/3da20b5a2a5e7fa74419abcaf84d2a85 to be on Central. Its to avoid stuff like that.
you have to replace the savegame with the old one like the instructions on the central page say, so deleate the old savegame.bxml then put the new one in and rename the "15millionsavegame" (i think it is) to savegame.bxml

i believe i did it correctly. i renamed the 15million save game file to savegame.bxml and put it the "remote" file and deleted the original save game file. although when i go into the game its still doing what it had originally where when i go into the garage it freezes and then crashes and the game is still same as it was before with all my previous custom skins and tracks and also my carear progression. isnt the save game file supposed to basically restart the whole game to a fresh start?

If you have the steam cloud enabled it will back up your savegame to the cloud and overwrite any changes that you make with your old savegame from the cloud. You will need to disable syncing your data to cloud in steam, then change the savegame.
