Hey guys,
I have downloaded some gear skins and tracks. All the gears works fine but when I start a custom track the game just crashes... I have the mxtables DLC and everything.
I dont know what to do, please help!
Did custom tracks work before or is this the first time you've used custom tracks?
No just installed it on my computer so its the first time.
If you select a beta slot and ther eis no track in your Database folder with that name then the game will crash.
You definitely have a track in the beta slot that you are trying to run? Be careful to make sure that you open the right type of track, Freeride, Supercross or National that you downloaded - if you pick a slot with no track in it it will crash.
You have copied all the track files (there should be 4, *.scene, *.level, *.database, *.package) into the /Database folder of your Reflex installation.
Otherwise perhaps the track files are corrupted, try re-downloading?
Good luck..
Alright, i will try!
Thanks alot!
Apparently Xenuh's skin pack is causing a lot of crashing issues and is some how conflicting with some of the stock skins and I've only heard of people crashing while being on custom tracks.
Interesting Snare, i hadn't heard anything about that, not sure why a skin pack would conflict like that do you know which Xenuh pack it is?

It's his most recent skin pack that allows people to install them in any open DLC spot that is used for gear (10-13 IIRC?).
I've actually noticed an issue with a different gear set (http://reflex-central.com/skin_profile.php?skin_id=96) changing the names of bike skin names. Like my throwback skin set on Reflex Central gets the names changed from what I named them to names from this pack. My suzuki will be named like "Monster helmet" instead of "RC replica". I don't know if it's just me that has had that happen or not. It seems to me that there is some overlapping or something between the DLC slots that is causing weird things. The skin pack I have linked is for DLC 13, and my skin pack is DLC 14. Are they too close and mixing?
There could be some overlap of indexes in the databases, they were checked but we're all human.. :)
Thanx.
My game keeps crashing on some tracks. It works on firestone free ride and JT compound but haven't found any others that will work. Also I only have the Free Ride BETA slots. I tried downloading Digital Earthworks which was supposed to give me the other beta slots but nothing happened. The last thing is my game is pretty laggy even just playing arcade and especially slow with AI. Thanks!
You need the MXTables DLC 8a for the other SX and Nat slots. DE is a track editor and doesn't affect custom tracks at all - so you don't need to install it unlesss you want to build your own tracks..
Quote:
-1 Download the 2 files from the links below.
-2 Identify the Reflex install folder, this is usually something like C:\program files\Steam\steamapps\common\mx vs atv reflex\
-3 Extract the files from the zip files, there should be 2 MXTables_DLC008a files and 1 MX07Leaderboards.bxml. To get around windows security you might need to copy these to your desktop first and not extract the files directly to your Reflex folders.
-4 Copy the MXTables_DLC008a.database and MXTables_DLC008a.package files to the \Database folder in the Refllx install folder from step 2.
-5 Copy the MX07Leaderboards.bxml file to the Reflex install folder from step 2. NOT the Database folder.
Start up Reflex and you should be ready to rip..
There are a lot of small improvements in this version of DE, as well as adding the splines, which make this a much more stable version than the last one. I have to say a big thank-you to JamieT and Al167 for their patience with testing and giving me feedback that has helped in a big way to make these improvements. Special thanks also goes to JamieT for providing the preview pictures - think of him every time you can see in DE what the object you want to place looks like.. :)

Updated MXLeaderboard.bxml: MX07Leaderboards.zip (http://www.strawberrysoftware.net/download.php?file=reflex/MX07Leaderboards.zip) This goes in the Reflex install folder NOT the database folder
