Title: Reflex files - PC and XBOX360 compatibility
Post by: pedrolicassali on September 25, 2014, 03:44:00 PM
Hey guys, I've tried JamieT's first person camera mod on my xbox, replaced the file MX_Camera.bxml and it worked pretty well, without any crash or error. And I was thinking if the other files would work too, since they look to be the same file extension.

Nice!

Well the BXML files aren't really anything special, but the track files would probably casues you some issues as they're mostly made up of graphical content.  No one here has tried any mods on Xbox so you're a bit of a pioneer! :) Let us know how it goes!

I've been following you guys by far, cause I dont own a good pc and would be awesome to bring your mods to consoles (at least some). I gonna try some BXML changes between Alive and Reflex and see what happens, both have similar files.

Well, nothing seems to work but thq's logo video from alive, which is useless. JamieT I forgot to mention that your mod is awesome! Having so much fun with it.

Thanks.  It's great to think that you Xbox guys can get some use out of it!

Have you tried the track files from PC to Xbox?  I'm interested in how that would work.

I tried a freeride track, but replaced a game track and it made my xbox crash. I'm trying to figure how  these custom tracks work on PC. They are DLCs, right?

I would be surprised if you ever got the PC DLC to work on the xbox, the textures are in a different format and there are a few other format differences, which even if there was only 1 difference, would cause the xbox to crash, trouble with computers is they need everything to be right otherwise they crash...

Good to hear the camera mod works, though i am a little surprised..

Is there any way to see what is inside these files? I would compare them.

Tested camera mod on Alive and it worked pretty well :)
I'm also using a MVA supercross's wreck avoidance bxml and removed this system.
