Just Registered. This forum seems a little old and has not been touched for a while.
Please post below if you are still around, and what do you play?
Well it looks like a few people were on Today. Seems good. I love twisted dirt, I have just gotten back into unleashed, and have reflex. Would love to get to know some people here.
As far as I know there's only a handful that still play Unleashed, there's a few that play Reflex but most of the big names have gone to MXS.
I play Reflex btw.
yeah im still mucking around with reflex and check these forums frequently, but theres not much happening here...... i guess untill the new reflex editor comes out ;) that is.
lately though ive finnally come round to mxs. but its hard as f@$k.
im hoping the new editor breathes life into reflex. with a few tweaks to the phisics and custom tracks and gear ect reflex would be an unbelievable game
hey bruce or laurie have you guys played with the phisics of reflex?
No i haven't played with the physics, been busy trying to get the other stuff worked out. To be honest i'm not very excited about looking into the physics, it always causes problems with disagreements about cheating and what the best physics are.
Laurie
I check the forum here once evry day or so..
I know Laurie, bruce and them guys are hard working on reflex, so i come here eager to see from them :)
Ryann,
I check news on the fomrum every day ! I play mx unleashed and i still create tracks and objects, I don't release a lot because I haven't a lot of time. I also play mxs and relex but not much...
The twisted dirt team is very great ! they do a big work for the fans and they are very nice, they helped me and i thank them a lot !!!!
I hope you will succeed for the reflex editor, and you will see if it's possible do things on FIM motocross...
:)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WoGjJdRo9rk hello All ))) My riding Reflex ))))))
Most of us at othg-gamers.com check the forums here weekly anticipating / hoping for news on a track installer for reflex.. :) we all still play about 4 or 5 days a week.. Fingers crossed!
Keep up the good work guys!
OTHG_WEASEL
The editor's getting near to first release but won't be more than the compiler with a 3D view on it. But that will mean the beginning of taking it further. A track installer isn't needed until we can build tracks to be installed, other than beta tracks..
Guy's... I check by now and again! Justin and I were excited about Reflex... at first; I even purchased a new machine... which could not run it hardly! I did upgrade the card to a 560GTX O'C so maybe now it will run better. I'm updating as I type this now.
Games I'm playing:
CARS - Invested in a new WMD racing Sim Project - 115 bucks. as a paying member there are rewards, you not only get to D/L the beta each week and express input... but may share in some of the profits...! Bruce, you should check this one out. Project CARS
SimRaceWay, GTR2 and rfactor sometimes... ForzaFprza 4 mostly too!
Would love to see Reflex take off... Thanks Bruce and Laurie for all your hard work
Great to hear, Guys! I am Considering getting started on a bit of Track making, I am watching a Tutorial right now.. But I mist stop clicking on 'Related Videos'!
RKipker, I gave a GTX 560 too! Reflex runs a blast, better then a Console would haha! Bloody good cards, they are.
Hi guys,
Gald to hear that you're still working on Reflex. The community is still strong, IMO, and you're work is greatly appreciated.
In fact, our own eMc member nemesis, has built quite a few tracks that we plan on releasing on the eMc website.
Here's a preview of one of the tracks made with the compiler.

With that said, I have a few questions about what is planned regarding Reflex. We're nearing the end of the second season of tournaments, and obviously, we're running out of tracks. Basically, I was just wondering if it will be possible in the future to have actual races on the custom tracks?
Along with that, placing objects would be key, as well.
Lastly, do you think it would ever be possible to somehow create a custom server to bypass the buggy and unreliable steam system?
Thanks again, and keep up the good work.
An editor that will replace the compiler is just around the corner. It will have more or less the same functions as the compiler to start with, but development will continue to include splines and objects and more, with more releases as new functions are ready..
There will also need to be an installer for these tracks to replace the beta slot system. As for the servers, i don't have any fixed plans but i have looked into it a little. I believe there are other games that use steam where private servers have been used maybe it will be possible to use a system similar to that for Reflex - but that's a way off..
Laurie
I don't check in as often as I used to but sure is great to see you folks still working away on editor development.

Talked to the Maniacs about that. They have played Reflex Online with Steam but they say they get kicked before 1 lap because of ping.. or something.... very Unstable Servers.
Its a shame that people reckon NO other game is better than MX Simulator, and they think they always have to play MXS. You do need a change.. lol. I play more Reflex these days, than MXS. REALLY looking forward to this track editor, I hope its simple enough for me to get by. IF thats not the case then I can just sit back and wait for a great track to hit the DLC. Will this Editor have Objects n stuff?
call me old fashioned but I just started playing mcm2 again. its a freaking blast. I'm trying to finish up a nat i have too. it seems like such a dead game tho seeing as its over 12 years old. i can't get into reflex, cool graphics tho!

you need to give reflex more of a chance. when i first got reflex i played it for about three hours and then concluded it was junk just like untamed. i then didnt play it for about three weeks and heard people talking it up. so i wen onto the mx vs atv forums to see what others thought. there wher people just like me that hated it at first but once they got the hang of the new controls, they all said it was the best mx game yet. about ten hours of gameplay should get you changing your mind......do what i did and put reflex back in!!!!
also mx sim is a phenominal game but that needs about 40 hours of frustrating game play before that one is fun.
i recommend an xbox 360 controller for both.
cheers allan
yeah I've got about 40 hours of reflex under my belt, but its all on keys... next step is a controller... can't wait to see what the girlfriend says about this lol! reflex is pretty realistic, kinda too realistic for me. mcm2 is just a nee easy escape..

Hi
i have a look around here. checking if any of my posts have been answered ..
I play most of the mx games for pc.
but mcm2 have so much more freedom than the newer mx games and no bungie cord physics
anyone into fps games should check out natural selection 2 thats what i play most..
is there a board where any mcm2 track makers are or is mcm2 just dead?

Its the true ;D , mx sim and motocross madness 2 are the best ones.
Reflex is a unfinished pc game that lacks alot of things that a pc game need to have to be good , "its not meat and neither is fish " :P

Just visited the official mcm2 site and all their community links redirect to xbox sites or are expired. If you want, I could build you an mcm uploading site, and you could upload there and link other people to it. (it would be like mcm.com.nu, thats my free domain)
I am a few times a year. I guess I live in the past a little. Dang would I really love an xbox360 reflex track editor.
I drop in from time to time, still messing around with MCM2.
Nostalgia brings me back once in awhile
You would find me mostly on mxsimulator.com as 22Ryann... Much more peeps around, and im having fun learning how to make tracks.
Dang, Whiteboy, 22Ryann (Metz I take it?), Lizbon and SPODE?
Glad to see so many familiar names. I'd love to re-install MCM2, I still have a few CDs with tracks on them.
Hope the world is treating you all well.

Oh, I should have known. So is it worth getting Reflex for PC since the ability to create tracks has come about?

Yes ;)
Especially since Steam has their holiday sale on at the moment, which means Reflex is 50% off. These guys will probably tell you to pick up MX Simulator, whatever that is.... lol just kidding :-* But with Reflex at such a cheap price - you can't go wrong.

I indeed picked up Reflex last night for 9.99; you can't be that! After playing for about 3 hours, I have noticed this game is SO MUCH more smoother on the PC than on the PS3 and cheapo VISIO TV. The controls are spot on, the bike hardly tends to wash out and fly off the track.
As far as MX Simulator, I give it A for effort, but my skills with that game a whopping F! I no longer play that.
I'm curious if any of you have MCM2 installed on a widescreen 1920 x 1200? I can't seem to change resolutions within the game, and it spits me out right before a track loads. (Running Win7 64bit)
jamie just isnt over the hump yet with mxsim..... lol
there both great games and i play them both alot.
mx sim takes alot of patience to master. but when you master it you are rewarded with unbelievably realistic sx/mx riding.
the online racing with sim is awsome, and the sim comunity is massive too.
you need to invest a painful 10 hrs of game play before you get over the hump and click with it.
but good to see someone coming here to maybe make some reflex tracks ect!
cheers allan

Didn`t know i was still loged on to this forum.
still play mcm2. but not very often.
MXS still have no gas gyro, and mcm2 it still the king of motocross.
We can hope whit the new consoles that someone makes a good mx game
Heya. Nice to see the forums still alive. How's life?
Hi guys, first time posting on here in probably ten years, not played any PC related stuff in that time, still riding MX when the UK weather allows me too lol
I see an MCM 2 revival group on Facebook and it made me think about the good ol days on the old Microsoft gaming rooms back in 99, I hope everyone's all good.
Ian.
