Title: reflex light mapping
Post by: al167 on July 27, 2011, 08:18:03 AM
i have played around with the lighting a little in the reflex compiler. would it be possable Bruce if you could put up a sample for: SphericalLight=
SphericalReflection=,ShadowMap= , in the wiki.
i have tried different colour maps (black, white and different greys, disp map) for these and i am having mixed results.

example ; when i used a my disp map for Spherical Reflection, the bump mapping wave in front of you basically dissapears and the close up textures look amazing but the distant textures look real bland.
any help would be good.
also for the sunlight colour intensity i have been using 2 instead of 4, as 4 was way bright with my gtx570.

i also  just released my second track " two broken wrists"at www.mvamaniacs.com

cheers allan

laurie. you said that the lighting spherical map is different in the new editor to the compiler. could you please put up the spherical light map that was used in the v1.09 of the editor. maybe in the wiki would be good.

Al

I've updated the wiki now to include the Spherical light map from the compiler (v1.09), the editor's was already in there so both are now available. If you want to use the other map as default simply change the BMP named 'DefaultSphericalLight.bmp' in the 'plugins\plguindata\reflex' folder.

Cheers,
