Myself I really haven't had time to work on new stuff.  As part of testing I have been using some of my old tracks.  I have explored a couple of ideas for new tracks but they aren't very far along.   You can play some of my tests by downloading these:

Looks very nice. Are those textures hand made or did you use the TopDown tool to make them for Reflex then use that for MvA as well? How hard was it to make the track ride well in both games?

I think this pic is the mva texture... Looks good. The tracks of unleashed works for reflex. I do a convertion of a mx track I made and I don't change a lot the dispmap, just set the size...

I hope this track will be released soon !

It's very interesting to see how you ride the track, i just go all out wide open whenever i can. I'm guessing (i didn't see the race) that you ride it more like the real track was/is ridden.

Good work, i like the way you added the temporary stadium ..

Brings back memories of MCM 2 having to use the displacment map for  a stadium.  Nice job on the replica.  It's begging for a spline and objects.

Man, that track looks like so much fun!

I would be jumping off into the grandstands though because there are no objects or splines.

Someday... maybe...

disp map looks great!!
now for the hard stuff making it look good. use the wiki for help and go through the forums on this site- mainly the Track Making Tools (Reflex Track Compiler, MVA Editor, Armadillo/Dillo Too/APM/Etc.) section.  it takes time to learn all the different aspects of the compiler, but stick at it. it doesnt take that long to learn.

remember to upload it to mvamaniacs when done so all of us can enjoy it!!!

so stevo = boblob
theres only a handful of guys releasing tracks at the moment.- keepin reflex alive!!!
good to see you making another.
i know that first track!
its a shame it was way too bright for me to ride (nvidia gtx 570).
with this track you should  use version 1.09 of the compiler as it resolves alot of the light issues with different gpus.
also,  could you run raystone through the new compiler and re- release it. - like i did with my first tracks.

cheers allan

??? Sorry .. guess Im a little slow anymore... am I understanding this right? You guys are using all old editors for MCM2 and Unleashed to make the tracks and the Beta Compiler to pack and import to Reflex? ???

Stevo @ Twisted Dirt = boblob801 @ Youtube

He made video about "how-to" make tracks!
I haven't completed each step (he went really fast in places) but it's a great tutorial!

This thread is a few months old but I just can't figure out how to get the tracks into Reflex. A lot of links go to mva maniacs but nothing is there. Ive searched this forum and found a post with someone saying how to do it and after doing it my game crashes. I read Bruce maybe coming out with a new way of putting tracks into the data folder, has that been released? Ive played every moto game ever made and I seem to like reflex the post (physics) but im really bored of the stock tracks. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Hoss

lots have people have asked for this so it must be hard to find.

Step 1
You need to Download the beta file slots From the forums at
www.twistedirt.com or this is the direct link: http://www.strawberrysoftware.net/download.php?file=reflex/MXTables_DLC008.zip
Step 2:
Extract the file you downloaded in step 1 using a program like winrar and put it into the database file in your reflex game folder:
should be able to find it here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\mx vs atv reflex\Database
You should now see the 8 beta slots in game, in freeride!

Note: if you try and open the reflex beta slots without a track it won't work. (in other words you need to download a track from mvamaniacs first!).
Step 3:
You will have to Join www.Mvamaniacs.com.
you won't be able to download custom tracks unless you join(free)
note: mvamaniacs has two seperate logins, one for the main site and 1 for the forums. you need to join the main site.

Step 4
Download the track and extract the file using winrar.
There should be 4 files. You need to put these files into the database folder, just like you did with the twisted dirt beta slots.

each track is allocated to a slot so you can have up to 8 custom tracks at once.

there is also an installation video that pulse created here
