im thinking very very nice,   only thing that looks wierd is the fenders look a little big and fat?  the back one mainly, looks like its off a 91 kx 125   looks too deeep and wide.
and the front just looks a little to big although that could just be the angle im seeing it at.

is it modeld from scale or just guessing ?

looks smooth though.

Ian.

I love the shrouds. Like Ian said, the rear fender looks a little off. Good work so far.

The rear and some parts make it look more like a ktm rather then a honda (I understand that it isn't finished). Nice modeling though, you come along good with that stuff. :)

Post by: metal_miracle on October 06, 2004, 03:07:33 PM
well to answer you whit the knob tire you got to compensate to not get a model over 5500 polys and thats hard to try and make a good looking model and at the same time add the knob tires

Title: Re: CR125R...
Post by: thormx985 on October 08, 2004, 07:42:19 PM
u should put a cross bar dude. i mean u can allways just pink it out, its better to have a option wether u want to have tag or renthal. cross bar or no cross bar cuase allot of people have one or the other so its a nice option to have just a idea.
Title: Re: CR125R...
Post by: JvdL on October 10, 2004, 08:55:50 PM
Im gunna try finish this modle first as it comes, then later on ill argue with u about what bars to put on.. :-*
I think people care more about the modle itself then about a crossbar or no crossbar.. dont u think?

ooh, UVW mapping, the nightmare of every modler lol. Im not much of a hero in UVW mapping myself.. I suggest u ask some-1 that knows a tad more about modlin' then me.

What model are u making tho?

PS. Ben, what was that all about? ???

its very hard to uvw map if you dont map some parts form scratch and separat the bike in to some parts.

i recomend to try  deattach the polys you want to uvw map so its a bit more easy but some times some of the polys face backwards.

looks really nice.

couldnt you cut a few pollys by making the sprocket and rear disk a square? same with the grips.
You can pink out the square to make a cirlcle, and the grips are coverd by hands (mostly)

I haven't scrapped anything, i never do actualy.. but when i get around finishing sumthin.. allways other work like school work etc keeps me from it. The last couple of days i've been really really busy with school and now i actualy had a break through cuz im gettin paid by school! All i have to do is show my work tommorow and answer a couple of Q's that visitors ask me about it.. 8) thats what u get from delivering top quality work again and again :P

Anyway, as for now.. im helping out a few other people with their stuff for mcm2 first because those will be finished alot sooner then mine.

When u c what im helping with u'll all say "John, u made a wize decision.." lol

John

(PS. Thnx for still having intrest in this project and i haven't forgot about it all.. itll be here someday and i hope someday soon.)
