Ok, I can't get the no-cd patch to work lol. (http://forum.xbconnect.com/images/smiles/icon_redface.gif)
It's not rocket science, I know. It's always worked in the past. I copy and paste the new icon into my mcm root folder, overwrite the origional, double click it, and it tells me to insert the cd.
u gotaa have the cd in when u put the no cd patch in
Check your exe, mine works fine w/o cd and is dated 4/29/2000.

huh? ? just swap the nocd exe for the exe in your MCM folder.
Ian.
yeah, its still not working
ok im guessing you have remade a new shortcut of it on ya desktop and arnt still clicking the old one,
i cant think of any over thing apart from re-download it again.
Ian.
just a suggestion maybe get a diffrent no cd exe file.. from another location maybe the one u have is dud
no, the shortcut on my desktop is the no-cd one. even when I click the one in the mcm folder it doesnt work. I also tried using the no AI stunt exe, and that's no good either.
ok open window, pick up PC, at arms reach hold PC out of window, if the little bugger still ofends, release your grip. ;D
im with westy redownload it or grab a friends copy and try that.
Ian.
I got one I know works, and it still isnt working for me. :-\
go to www.megagames.com
Then under game fixes, go to pc, then find motocross madness 2 in the list. Once you have clicked on that, click on Game fixes. Download one and try it out.
ok, i tried that, and it updated my registry. Now i can't get mcm or armadillo to work at all.
hmm, maybe the one you got had a bug in it. Download each one until you find one that works. I trust that site- I get most of my no cd cracks from there.
I reinstalled mcm, and I can play now. But the no-cd patch isnt working still. But, the "verifying cd" screen does not come up. So i guess it is working? But I get a message that says 'please insert cd' if the cd is not in my drive.
hmm. I have no idea what's going on at this point.
I had this problem with my laptop one time under XP home, if i remember it was something to do with write permissions on the folder i thought i had overwritten the file but nothing happened. You could try a file compare with the no-cd and the file in your MCM2 folder and see if is the file it should be.
You could try just copying the No-CD patch into the folder and see if it creates a new file. If so rename the original and then the patch otherwise the zone won't run the right version when you ride online.
