Xpand Rally is a new rally game coming out on Sept 24 (europe) and it comes with a killer track editor. Check it out here (http://www.xpandrally.com/en/show.php?022)  Click on the images to zoom in.

Amazing! :o
To bad we can't have one that high tech for MCM2...that would be sweet.

The game is out, but you can only get it from Gogamer in the USA or from www.xpandrally website.
The track editor is very complex, and at the moment there isnt much in the line of a readme or tuts for it.
They are working on a full user guide, you can find out alot more from the forums here http://dynamic6.gamespy.com/~reg/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=61

They allready have a lap recorder up and running for it! http://www.gametimesonline.com

WOW :o - looks awesome- You guys didn't mention there are single and multiplayer demo's! , I'll have to download both of them! I prefer bike racing (like everyone here) but.... how about moding this for bikes?

After trying the 2 demo's I was pretty impressed, it played like a dream @ 1600 x 1200 resolution and everything turned up to the max. Grass detail to the individual blades and an atmosphere that moves.
I can't see this as a replacement for MCM2 but if this technology was used to make a MX game it would be awesome.
I'll probably pick up a copy and fool around with the editor.

Hey Fixer, did you notice the extreme amount of load time before the game starts up? From what I have read it has to do with the Starforce protection on it. Anyone know a way to speed the load time up?
With this Starforce on it takes forever to load.

looks very nice but you'll never get that quality out of MCM2 until the game is rewritten - for PC. As for modding the game for MX i'm not sure i want to start down that road  i think i'll leave it to someone else - it would be way quicker to just start a new MX game.

I will have to go download it now. :)

Yes, after installing and rebooting I started it up and nothing happened, so I opened the task manager and as I did the game started up (it took like 20 -30 seconds to do anything when I started the game) but after that it was real fast in menu's and loading the races

So, where do you get-buy the game and editor?

only place I have seen is gogamer or from Techlands website.
I just got it installed tonight and the night driving in this is unreal, people and animals running out of the woods freeks you out the first time you see them. I ran off a cliff and plunged to my death, as in I killed my driver lol. Then out of the blue the car exploaded and burst into flames.
There is a manual for the chrome-editor on the cds but good lord its huge. I can see this will be a large learning curve for this editor. Its not a run and gun editor at all. From what I see it looks very deep, anything you can think of can be changed in this game.
Title: Dodge trucks
Post by: Crucify on November 16, 2004, 11:13:51 PM
This is for anyone who has the full game!!
I found how to get the Dodge trucks in the game, took a little time this afternoon and started to dig around and figured a few things out. I dont understand yet why the dont allow the trucks to be unlocked in career mode or by single player.
Sure seems strange that they included the templates for them and didnt make them available in the game.

To get the doge trucks in the game just do this.
open the logic folder and edit the cars.scr files in each folder as well. The line Status = has to be set to 1 instead of 0.

Of course first you need to change the scr to txt in order to do this, just remember to change it back when done.
If you have ACAD on your pc then you can open all the scr files and edit away.

These trucks are tanks to drive fast compared to the little Ricer cars in the game.
The Nascar and Soda buggy mod look cool so far, this editor is a unreal tool.
If anyone makes a new MX game they should look into chrome-ed. Several game makers have used this same Chrome-ed to make the games they produce modable for the end user.
