Hey guys,
I thought that maybe some of you might be interested in seeing what I've been up to since I stopped working on MCM2 tracks (in anticipation of [hopefully] making tracks for MTX: Mototrax). So anyway...here's a few preview pics. (follow the link)

Well...what do you think? :-\
Simply awesome. I didn't know terragen was even capable of what you have produced.
very very nice paul, yeah Terragen has always been let down by MCM's small sky cube size,
im guessing that MTX will have bigger sky's and even disp maps allowing better detail.
lets hope so.
great work paul.
Ian.
Really nice stuff Paul! Good luck making some $$$ doing something you enjoy.
Pete
Thanks a lot guys. I'm glad you like them. Thanks also for the well-wishes Bulldog! ;D
lol, very nice work indeed... if you actually manage to make money on that then please do tell... hehe ^_^
I was pretty sure you could make higher res skycubes then the default size of 2016x504?, thought I read it somewhere but haven't tried it.
god damn terragen, they better have trees in the next one, cuz that *#*#*s just getting old :P
trees, overhanging terrain, whole planet renders, objects....the whole works. Atleast I read that a couple months ago.
overhanging terrain? ? ? hmmm how they guna do that with a top veiw of the terrain hieght field map?? if they have it then there must be a new bit with a 3D view i guess.
thats will be so cool, as for trees thats what is realy needed on the rendered skys.
Ian.
Perhaps it will be done with one bottom view disp and one top view disp... Somehow... lol http://www.planetside.co.uk/terragen/tgd/images/seeking_shade.jpg
I'm DEFINATELY gonna have TG2. Just think of some ultra realistic textures for XPAND Rally from terragen 2. :D

Yeah, pfft... The current release of Terragen just plainly stinks. ::) ;D

What?! LMAO! Whatever...IMHO you are only limited by your imagination...and I have seen Terragen renders where the artist used Trees...they just have to do it in Post Production work. I'm just too lazy (or limited maybe) to mess around with trying that.
It was a sarcastic joke. lol... My point was that you don't have to wait for TG2 to get super realistic looking textures... :)
i just love TG even if its not for anything productive i just love going in there and setting up a cool looking scene.
i just wish i had the vision some people have.
Ian.
