Is it possible to import different perimeter tiles?

Sorry i missed this, i read it once when i had no time to reply and forgot to come back later.

Yes you can import different perimeter tiles. It's been a while since i worked on UE2 so i'm not sure if the released version has this and it works but the version i was working on you can import tiles into any location in the map, then you get the choice to replace every tile that is the same as the one you're overwriting or just to replace the one tile. But it will only import tiles in it's own *.tile format, which you can create by exporting each tile from UE2.

You can import both texture maps and DispMaps..

That would be great. I don't want to squash daytona. I know you're going to hate this question, but do you have a rough idea of when the new UE2 will be out? Are we talking weeks, months, etc.?

I have been working on some stuff with Jeff (MCMNut) which has taken up more time than i hoped, which should be done soon, then i can get back to UE2. I'm thinking i will need to check it over for any major bugs since i haven't looked at it for a while, but then i will probaly release it as it is since it's been a while since i released the first version and you guys can probably work around the bugs in it and it brings a few new features to the table that might be useful.

So i would figure on a few weeks.. i am going away for a couple of weeks around then so it might get delayed until after that, depends what i find when i look at it again, and i hate releasing stuff and then not being around to support it but it always seems to happen that way.

Ahhhh I just saw this - relates to another post I just made.

Unique disp and texture possible on each tile...what about objects though?

Yes unique objects too, but you still need to watch out for objects placed on the perimeter, if they aren't the same on each perimeter tile then shows won't match.
