Title: VERY handy tool
Post by: Bunny on August 30, 2004, 09:39:21 PM
Just now I was looking around on the internet and i found a great little ftp tool.  It's called SmartFTP.  If you want to get it, and want to download mcm2 files at large, type in under the address:

ftp://ftp.motocrossmadness2.com/mcm2/

You can get every possible file on mcm2 central from tracks to skins.

Just wanted to share it with everyone, so check it out.

If I just didn't have such bad connection (0.5Mbit) I would download em all and put em on dvds... Just in case all mcm2 sites would close  ;)

I prefer Flash over Smart, but they do the same things.

One thing about getting tracks that way is that the download couters won't be accurate......like they are anyway haha.

Using SmartFTP or flash, whichever one you prefer, the download speed is relatively fast, unless you're on 56k, but I just don't know then.

I prefer smart over flash, only cause my 30 day trial expired on flash, and I'm too lazy to get around it.

Really though, I like flash alot better. The layout, commands, buttons, all that jazz is much better.

BTW, all of the sudden my upload speeds went to poop. :(   I don't know why.

I seriousley doubt you have a hd thats large enough to have THAT much space on your computer or that you have all that time to do that.. :p

but with any ftp program you should be able to yes..

To answer the above why i prefer FLASH FXP over SMARTFTP is just a personal thing when i began to use the FXP capabiltys of FTP protcols i found that flash was was simpler to use,,than smart as the fxp part of smart was an addon at that time. whereas flashfxp is bascailly designed for FXP transfers with the normal ftp modes added to it :)
