Title: Finding project size
Post by: DBR_Dodgy on August 26, 2004, 08:13:57 PM
ok i have an FMX that i started a year ago and want to carry on with it,  i just grabbed all the files off another HD i had and went to load the project in dillo and of cause it just crashed,  thats not the problem, i can just start a new quarry with the disp map cos thats all it was so far,
my problem is i cant remember what the grid resolution and hieght was.
i have the SCN file open and just wana know if the sizes are listed in there.

what i see is

[SceneInfo]
SceneName="Sik Trix Quarry"
NumberOfWaypointRaces=0
LogProgress=F

DefaultStartPosition=1937.0,2.5,2205.0
DefaultStartDirection=1.0,0.0,0.0
[Environment]
TerrainFile=SikTrikQuarry.trn
CubeFile=Terra05.cub
TerrainWidth=6
TerrainBreadth=6
TerrainWidthScale=3.000000
TerrainBreadthScale=3.000000
ParticleTextureMapName=Track15P.tga

[Light2]
Type=Directional
ColorRGB=255,255,240

PlaceLightAtInfinity=T

im guessing the  "terrain width 6"   is the grid res
but what is the hieght? ?

anyhelp will be more than apreciated.

No, the Grid Res is 3 (TerrainWidthScale).  The number 6 refers to the number of tiles (6x6 for quarry).

The strength is in the PRJ file so hopefully you still have it from your project.

wow, hmm. I notice that utility tells you the name of the creator, yet you NEVER see that anywhere in the game. I always fill that in just for kicks, but wondered why rainbow didnt incorporate it into the game.
