Post by: cR on August 16, 2004, 08:14:02 PM
Well I just re-installed everything on my pc, drivers, MCM2, and SikTrix off course... but now when I open SikTrix everythings there...except for the bike and rider :S I used to have SikTrix on this pc befor but that was months ago...

I got Direct X v9.0b, the latest drivers for my ATI Radeon 9000 Pro, Windows XP Pro,.... here my system specs:

- 2,02Ghz P4
- 768 MB Ram
- ATI Radeon 9000 Pro

Well dunno if the other stuff really matters if so feel free to ask...

Thnx in advanceĀ  :D

Edit:

Btw, I got SikTrix v1.04

Try going to the options and changing the 'lighting' setting, then shut down siktrix and restart it. This was a fix for some systems with older cards i put in but maybe it's set wrongly on your system.

hmm, did you try changing it back again. I have a Radeon 9500 Pro and my setting for lighting is unchecked and i can see the rider and bike ok, but i'm running Win2K. It's just the rendering engine that's not working right then, are you using a custom model (using bike switcher?) that might be a factor.

at first no...but now I use the MCM2 Honda model... what does it use, OpenGL or Direct3D, so I can play around whit the card settings mebbe...

Edit:

If you got a Radeon you got (allmost) the same driver/control panel...can you post your settings?

It uses DirectX like D2 and MCM2, in fact it shares a lot of the rendering code with D2, so if D2 works SikTrix should really work too. My control panel settings are pretty much stock, i changed them a little like changing the performance/quality slider but then upgraded the drivers and it has all gone back to stock.

You might try resetting the models to stock with BikeSwitcher's Restore function, and try again. Make sure you shut down SikTrix first. I'm running catalyst 4.7 drivers maybe roll back and see if that works, though i know it's a pain to mess with gfx drivers. Maybe they're not installed right. You do uninstall the old drivers before installing the updates right ..

Sry haven't got any more ideas but i'll keep thinking about it. You don't get any error messages do you? oh and are you running 16 or 32bit desktop?

Just tested D2, seems to work aldo i can zoom and pan from top view it doesn't let me rotate. Running at 16bit for SikTrix and D2...

Resetting the models didnt work...

No errors tho...
