Title: Object Problem.
Post by: 4130BMX on September 22, 2005, 09:53:27 AM
Okay so I'm in the midst of making a FMX and I have a curved wallride object I made.  The thing works decently in Armadillo, but since it is a wallride, the rider always jumps off his bike.

I use the backflip hack in the actual game, so I figured that problem wouldnt be an issue,  yet when I play in game and try to use the wallride,  my rider seems to sink into the object and not ride along it.

Heres a screenshot.

Basically, what should happen is I should hit the wall, stick and wallride around it, jumping back out into the dirt.  And that is what usually happens in armadillo.

But, in mcm2,  I hit the object, I grip for a little bit, then my tires sink INTO the object, and I glide/slide up a good distance, then I grip again, and then I sink/slip again, until I have slid off the top of the object and launch into the middle of nowhere.

Anyone know why this is happening?

Kinda looks like an x form problem. Try deleting the objects from your project, save it. Go to your Usermodels\SLTFiles find the models in there and delete them. Now try completely reseting the pivot point and make sure your object is at 0,0,0. Now Reset X Form and then colapse all your modifiers and try re exporting it with Unibastard.

I did some work on my track,  PRJ crashed, so I re-did it,  re-placed the object, and it works fine now.

Its weird though,  when I had 2 of them side by side and tilted steeer,  APM gave no errors but the game crashed when loading my track.

Once you get used to D2 you'll find it can save you tons of time besides all the support for all the advances made over the years.
