I think this problem came up a while back and all you had to do to fix it was uncheck "Smooth edges of screen fonts".

Right click on "My Computer", click "Properties", click the "Advanced" tab, then "Settings", uncheck "Smooth edges of screen fonts" and click "Apply".

I guess you've got the Compatability mode for MCM2 set to win9x. Did you re-install from the CD or from some other source?

I can see some text in that screenshot, the larger text has come up in places and not in others, and the smaller font hasn't come out at all.

Can slowpoke and lodge (and you too Dave :) ) list a few more details about your systems, like DX version, System specs OS sp's and anything else that might help work out the problem.

Have you tried earlier versions of the gfx drivers?

Have you tried the software rasterizer just to see if the text shows up?

Try a different set of video card drivers, usualy older is better with MCM2.

With the 66.32 drivers I have no view of the bike and rider to change what skin ya want etc, all I see is a mirror effect and in game the green text that comes up when you have finished a race or if someone disconnects I dont see it at all. But I dont really care to much about those things as these drivers I use for others games aswell which I tested with a few other driver versions and these were the fastest in Direct3D on my Leadtek 6800GT.
