Title: It's been 3 years now since we lost a good friend..... SCUM BIKER
Post by: _MUD_Drifter0 on August 10, 2005, 11:53:13 PM
:'( It doesnt really seem like its been 3 years since his passing, but it has been. August 8th marked the
3rd anniversary ok Jack's passing, and he is still soarly missed!  :-\ I been pondering the thought of suggesting
a memorial tournament in his honor.

Being uncertain of how many peeps around these days that knew or remember him, and having never actually
put together and saponsored a tourney before, I really dont know where or how to begin.

If anybody would like to help make arrangements and/or participate, I would sure like to hear your thoughts on the matter. I've always believed his track creations were highly UNDER appreciated and would like to see his work given it's due! 8)

Same here, lets do this tourny. lets race all his tracks so we can remember him.
If theres anything that i can do to keep this tourny on ask me for some help _MUD_Drifter0    (but im not the really great at computers)
so if theres anything that i can do for this tourny i will be happy to help out.

I never knew Jack at all. But everyone deserves a memorial like this if they played and talked on forums or created tracks, skins or objects for the MCM community, especially if they highly under appreciated.

Even though I wasn't very active on the community sites back then I do remember his tracks,  all fun to ride I must say.  If I can spank my computer together again I will be there for sure,  else I'll do my best to help at least.  :)

I'm slow as molasses (which explains why I make tracks I guess! lol) so I'm not really a good one to do tournaments. But I still miss Jack every day. His website "Jacks Junkyard" is mostly responsible for making me the track creator that I am today. For those that don't know, Jack hosted a website for MCM beta testing. It provided space to upload your betas and guys would download your stuff and ride it and provide helpfull suggestions and opinions.

Jack introduced me to the concept of beta testing altogether and ever since then I've beta tested all of my tracks. If it weren't for him...I wouldn't be making the quality of tracks I am today.

Rest in piece Jack my friend...you are sorely missed brother!

Jack was one of the good guys. He gave us his "Track Test Website" so people could build & upload their tracks and get them tested during all stages of construction until finished.

Back in late 2000, I used his track testing site to remake Awesome Possum and create Desert Scream. In Desert Scream, on the side of the startline stadium on the right, I made an advertisement for his site - check the pic below.

I know I won't ever forget him and his contributions to the MCM2 community.

aloha, MC

I was just thinking of Jack the other day. If we cant get a tourney together then at least ride some of those old classics. My fav was coulee region. I rode that thing for 100's of laps. Never got sick of it. I started making a tribute track for him which turned out pretty cool but just never had the desire to mess with dillo and the rest to finish it. Some damn day I'll do it.
Heres his last known track, prolly the  last ever beta on the Junkyard.
