I suggest you look into cable management. You can save from 1-7 Degreese in your case.

Ian.
Definately a nice rig! How/Where did you go about searching for that? Was everything pre-installed in the case?
-Chris
it came fully built with a clean install of XP pro plus an spare audigy 2 sound card and a box of ods and sods fans and stuff,
i just found it on ebay and said....... im having that tyvm lol
Ian.
Nice rig Dodgy. I know how ya feel, getting a state-of-the-art system like that. I built a new system about 4 months ago from scratch and turned my old Dell XPS-T 700mhz into a Linux (Fedora) server.
New rig:
CPU: Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz 800MHz/FSB 1024kb L2 Cache Prescott running @ 3.3GHz - 37*C idle - 51*C max (it's hot over here too)
CPU Fan: Ultra Copper Cooling Fan Skt 478 upto P4 3.4ghz
Power: DiabloTek 550W ATX Power Supply
Video Card: Nvidia GeForce 6600 256MB DDR/SDRAM 400MHz AGP 8X
Hardrives: Maxtor 80GB IDE/ATA 7200RPM and Maxtor 300GB IDE/SATA 7200RPM
Memory: 1x Ultra DDR 1024MB PC3200 400MHz - 4g Max
Main Board: ASUS P4P800-X - Socket 478 - Intel 865P Chipset
DVD Burner: Sony 16x8x16x Double Layer DVD±RW/CD RW Writer
CD/RW: Plextor 40x12x40A CD Writer
Sound Card: Sound Blaster 5.1
Capture card: CTX MD001 analog Video device
Case: Red Janus Open Side (screen) with Blue (outside) & Red (inside) LEDs - 3 case fans
At first I didn't notice that much of a difference until I got into a few high powered projects and the difference was obvious. Kill V-sync and you got all the FPS you'll ever need, lol. Games (when I can play em) all run flawlessly to say the least - I haven't seen a blink or any kind of hesitation since I've been using it. Total price was $1480.00 building it myself - it ain't that hard folks.
You gotta great rig there man, have fun with it cause there isn't a game you can't play - [for a year anyway - maybe, hehe].

Looks cool at night and sometimes it's a little bright but it's a good night-lite.
aloha, MC
a volcanic rig for the volcanic island it resides lol
sounds like another nice set up. it feels good when you know your old one wasnt up to the new demands that games are pushing now.
i was amazed when i turned mine on.......... i still am hehehe.
Ian.
dodgy, whats retail for a set up like that?
from a shop it would have cost around £2500 to £3000
but to search online for all the parts it would have been around £ 2000 which i think is $3480
i paid £1500 so it was a steal for me and it was only 3 months old.
Ian.
Very nice brother. Happy fer yas. I'm still running my ol' system. Just cain't afford to upgrade at this time. :'( Does what I need I reckon. ::)

Ian.
How did you get the money for a monster like that mx333?
videos. 1000 paid by me, 200 from my dad.
So you make money making videos then?
Wish I could do that lol.
yup, which is why i am putting this new puter together. rendering times where huge and i couldnt stand to wait so long for the video stuff, so i decided to go big and make sure i could use more time doing other things rather than just video editing all day long.
Right on man, glad to see you're making money by being filmed doing something you love.
At least I think that's what's going on, lol.
Dudes. my new toy is like a computer on crack. it multi tasks like NO OTHER! runs premiere pro and after effects at the same time no lag. my graphic cards are so incredibly insanely good compared to my old AGP FX5200. parts list:
-Rosewill TU153 case
-Rosewill 500w PSU RE502
-Intel Pentium D 3.0ghz dual core
-ASUS p5ND2 - SLI DELUXE motherboard
-2 Gigabyte 128MB 6600GT's in SLI
-2 gb (4 x 512mb) corsair pc4200 ddr2 memory
-1 x 160gb Sata 2 WD HD
-COOLER MASTER Hyper 6+ heatsink (cools idle speed down by half compared to stock intel heatsink)
-DVD+RW drive
-DVD drive
Conclusions. Most sickest pc i have ever owned. got it all from newegg. with 2 day shipping it sent me back exactly like 1350$ Graphics are too good to be true. I played B2 and Men of Valor with this. I couldnt believe how good it looked i was soo used to a crappy image i was like OMG!! Multi tasking is huge. I can run both my video programs with no lag at all. It is INSANE!!! Idle temps on CPU are 37* celcius and i havent found out on my highest peak yet. Supposively with the stock intel heatsink 3.0ghz dual cores run close to 62*C idle. Anyways. Pictures will come soon. B.c i dont have a floppy hooked up or anything i couldnt take pictures with my old ass digi cam and i couldnt break out the new one b/c i dont have a card reader for this puter either. so i will have to figure out seomthing tomorow. anyways its a powerful powerful machine. well worth the money.
