Title: What Ports?
Post by: HaB Stealth0 on June 13, 2005, 05:09:59 AM
Hey guys,
I haven’t been able to play mcm2 online in ages, well since I got a router.
When I try to play mcm2 online it gets into the lobby already, but when it opens the load screen it gets about half way and quits to the desktop and comes up with an error.
I am thinking that it’s the ports. Because it worked perfectly fine before the router.

Anyway, I am asking what ports to open for mcm2. I have a list of ports used by dx games from the Microsoft site, but I want the ones mcm2 specifically uses

Thanks,
Stealth.

i only have 2 ports open and i have a router  :-\
I use a free program called DXPort and the game works fine when i play online.
It lets you only have to open 2 ports if you dont want to go throug the trouble opening the other ports.

On my router i have to open 1 port at a time it won't allow ranges so for 2300-2400 that's a hundred entries in the forwarding table.  :o

I use the DMZ, and one day i'll take a look at DXPort..
