The only way I see that working in MCM2 is to make the funnel start cover both sides of the track till it meets back up with the main track. You would have to place objects in the entire middle part of that outside section so no one could cut the track or a invisible (transeparent) object to cover the entire section would work pretty good to make sure of no cutting on the start.

From the experiences I've had with MCM2 splines, I believe it can be done.

A split start has been done on past SX tracks which were going in one direction only, the vegas funnel start will have to go forward and then backwards again over itself to cover the whole outside section until it meets back up with the track.

But yes a outside funnel split start would be easier to do.
