Motocross Madness 2 - The Game


1. Where do I put the custom tracks I just downloaded?


In your MCM2 folder, there is a folder called "Teraform" - inside of that folder are the folders for the different kinds of races & tracks:

Baja = baja tracks - C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Motocross Madness 2\Teraform\Baja
Enduro = enduro tracks - C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Motocross Madness 2\Teraform\Enduro
National = national tracks - C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Motocross Madness 2\Teraform\National
Quarry = stunt tracks - C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Motocross Madness 2\Teraform\Quarry
SX = Sx tracks - C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Motocross Madness 2\Teraform\SX
Tag = tag tracks - C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Motocross Madness 2\Teraform\Tag

You'll need to get "WINZip" to uncompress them if you don't already have it, at: http://www.winzip.com

2. Where do I put the "Rider" skins that I have downloaded?


In your MCM2 folder, there is a folder called "RIDERS" - put them in here.

3. Where do I put the "Bike" skins that I have downloaded?


In your MCM2 folder, there is a folder called "BIKES" - put them in here.

4. Where do I put the "Ghost" files that I have downloaded?


In your MCM2 folder, there is a folder called "RECORD" - put them in here.

5. How do I take a "screen shot"?


You can take a screen shot by pressing the "Print Scrn/SysRq" button on your keyboard, which is located here:



6. Where does the screen shot go after I take it?


The "screen shot" will go into your system's memory cache which is called the "Clipboard".

They will also be stored in your C:\MCM2 folder [if you took screen shots while in the game] and in your
C:\MCM2\TrackEditor folder [if you took screenshots in Armadillo]. They will be named with the name of your computer like this: "(yourcomuptername)00000.tga".

To edit the last one you took, from your clipboard, open your graphics program and:

in Paint Shop Pro - click the "Edit" tab at the top of the screen - then click "Paste".

in Photoshop -
  • Go to "File".
  • Click "New".
  • Click "OK".
  • Go to "Edit".
  • Click "Paste".

    7. When in the game, how do I view my FPS (frames per second)?


    You must have your track "Radar" turned on - it should be in the upper right corner of your screen - if it isn't, press "F6" to activate it.
    Press the "F" button on your keyboard.
    It will appear on the bottom of the map, listing your FPS avg. and FPS now.

    8. What is the best "Controller" for MCM 2?


    You can use any controller you want (including the keyboard) but all of the fastest racers use a "Joystick". What brand you use is up to your preference but, again, the fastest racers use the Microsoft Precision Pro.

    9. What are the best "in game" settings for MCM 2?


    I suggest you read the MCM 2 setup tutorial written by one of the fastest racers to ever play this game, OCR_ocicide - OC's Setup Guide

    10. How can I "Talk or Chat" while racing in the game?


    To chat while racing, press the "foward slash" key, which is located next to the "Shift" key on the right side of your keyboard. A chat screen will pop up at the top of your screen - type your message.

    11. How can I watch the other riders in the game?


    You can watch the other riders and downloaded "Ghost" files by simply pushing "Page Up" or "Page Down" on your keyboard. The keys are located here:
